The Village of North Grove has contracted the services of CIMA+ to complete the Traffic Impact Assessment.
On November 19, 2021, 9:00 am at a specially called meeting the Council of the Resort Village of North Grove passed the following Resolution:
Hembroff: Be it moved that the Resort Village of North Grove Council accept the Traffic Impact Assessment report completed by CMIA+ dated November 18 2021, be it further motioned to forward the report to the ministry, the RM of Dufferin, the district MLA and have the report posted on the Village website available for public viewing.

Update on subdivision application within the boundaries of the RM of Dufferin
The Resort Village of North Grove is in the final stages of awarding the contract to conduct a Traffic Impact Assessment for Daniel Drive. The successful contractor will conduct this study over the next few weeks in accordance with the conditions set out by Community Planning, Ministry of Government Relations. The Traffic Impact Assessment parameters can be viewed on the Village website by following this link: Traffic Impact Assessment parameters.
To guide Council in the process we have contracted an independent Community Planner to ensure that all options available to the Village are identified and considered.
As the proposed subdivision is in the jurisdiction of the RM of Dufferin, they are responsible to oversee the enforcement of the orders put in place to “not undertake any construction or site preparation work”.
Recycle Metal Fundraiser:
In cooperation with Wheat City Metals the Resort Village of North Grove will be collecting recyclable metal with proceeds going to sports and recreation within our community. A 62 yard bin will be placed near the Village shop on Monday July 30. Village Maintenance Operator: Resort Village of North Grove
Description: The Resort Village of North Grove is seeking an energetic, self-starter to provide our Resort Village efficient operations and maintenance of our Village’s assets and infrastructure including, but not limited to, streets and roads, park areas, equipment, and all Public Works programs.
The successful Applicant will be required to:
· Operate equipment including, but not limited to, trucks, tractors, and loaders etc.
· Provide general functions including mowing, tree pruning, snow removal, spraying etc.
· Provide general maintenance of village equipment
· Be physically fit
· Be competent to work with required chemicals and fuels
· Work a flexible seasonal schedule
· Work in all weather conditions
· Work without direct supervision but within approved policies, procedures, and specifications
· Other miscellaneous duties as required
Qualifications:
· Valid Driver’s License
· Applicable Powered Mobile Equipment Operator Certification
Salary is commensurate with experience and benefits are available.
The Resort Village of North Grove is willing to support the successful applicant with training if necessary.

Road work - patching
Public Notice: It’s that time of year again for road work. Please reduce your speed and watch for the road maintenance crew patching potholes in the Village over the next few days.
Once the patch work is complete the roads will be assessed to determine if oiling will be required or not this year. Keep checking back to the website for updates.

The Council of North Grove is concerned with the impact this proposal could have on our community’s infrastructure, road safety and carrying capacity of Buffalo Pound Lake. We as Council would like to hear from you.

This will give us time to compile your letters and submit them to Community Planning, Government Relations on your behalf prior to the deadline.

We have been asked to by our local septic haulers Olson and Sons Septic to pass this message on to the people in our community.
“An increase in fee structure is being put in place by the City of Moose Jaw, in the event we, the hauler, need to haul to Moose Jaw to dispose of the liquid waste you will see an increase on your pump out invoice” If you have any questions on this matter or to book a pump out please feel free to contact them.
